Physician Coaching

Become a more effective physician leader, modeling clear purpose and resilience, and inspiring your team to achieve organizational outcomes.

Over a 6- or 12-month period, your coach will help you prioritize your well-being while increasing your impact in your organization. Together, you’ll identify your unique strengths and develop strategies to navigate the specific demands of your role. Your coach will support and guide you on how to balance clinical excellence with leadership effectiveness, all while staying aligned with your personal objectives.

Support growth at the personal, team and organizational level through focused coaching designed to strengthen leadership performance and achieve measurable results.

Coaching Format

In this 6- to 12-month format, you’ll have one or two scheduled calls per month with an HLI-certified coach, as well as on-demand calls if needed. Together, you’ll set professional goals and develop practical actions plans through a five-phase process.

1. Relationship Building

You and your coach will establish rapport and assess your coaching readiness. Together, you’ll create a relationship contract and develop a coaching plan for the partnership.

2. Assessments

To build self-awareness, you’ll take a 360° comprehensive leadership assessment. Your coach will also interview your direct manager and three to five key stakeholders. After discussing the results and highlighting strengths and growth areas, you’ll prioritize desired outcomes for the engagement.

3. Goal Setting

You and your coach will then create a personalized Leadership Development Plan with specific objectives and completion targets. You’ll also create a Personal Strategy Map that aligns your personal vision across life facets, including career, family and more. Together, you’ll ensure your objectives correspond to clinical and organizational initiatives.

4. Accountability

As you work through your plan, your coach will check in regularly to assess progress and provide review and feedback. You’ll solve problems as needed and reaffirm that you’re aligned with your defined values and objectives.

5. Transformation

You and your coach will reflect on the engagement and define opportunities for additional growth. You’ll also receive a personalized summary report that outlines your progress and identifies resources and paths for continued development.

Throughout the virtual engagement, you’ll use an online platform that supports collaboration and provides direct access to assessments and other resources.

Coaches

During our multi-step intake process, we’ll discuss your immediate challenges, desired objectives and professional culture. We’ll then pair you with an HLI certified coach who understands your unique role as a physician leader and best aligns with your organizational setting. The partnership is dynamic, with the coach checking in regularly to ensure you’re receiving the tailored support and guidance you need to reach your goals.
