Healthcare promises to be a political issue in the elections of 2024. Access, quality and the cost of healthcare are topics the American public cares about deeply. In this webinar, health law expert Sarah F. Fontenot, JD, will isolate key issues healthcare executives need to understand concisely, clearly and non-politically. The focus will include recent attempts to rein in Medicare Advantage plans’ use of preauthorization, an update on drug price negotiation under the IRA and the status of site-neutral reimbursement. Fontenot will outline two decisions from the US Supreme Court anticipated in June, the first addressing the challenge to Mifepristone and the second federal executive decision-making under the “Chevron Doctrine." Finally, this webinar will look at the role of EMTALA in emergency treatment decisions and the trend among states to extend Medicaid postpartum coverage.

Attendees will leave with predictions for the health law landscape through next year, with tips for which areas of healthcare policy and legislation executives should focus future attention on to remain ahead of the curve.
