Biography
Shanice Jackson oversees a near $70 million budget and over 500 faculty and staff across diverse and geographically dispersed sites. Since May 2017, Jackson has driven strategic planning, financial operations and administrative excellence to advance the department’s priorities, enhance funding stability and support University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Health, campus and school-level initiatives. Her leadership emphasizes innovative solutions, cross-functional collaboration and a strong commitment to operational efficiency, staff development and stakeholder engagement.
Prior to UCSF, Jackson held senior financial and operational roles across the nonprofit and higher education sectors, including University of California, Davis, University of California, Berkeley and various other nonprofit organizations. Her experience spans budget governance, grants management, human capital policy, fundraising operations and organizational change across multiple large-scale programs and institutions.
